Who we are.

Life Spot Fire & Security is the fire alarm and security company of Life Spot Electric. We started in 2020 to give our clients fire alarm, monitoring and security from the same team that already does their electrical.

Life safety, done properly

We design, install, test and monitor fire alarm systems, and we install CCTV, access control and intercom, in new and existing buildings across New York City.

Every system is built to pass the FDNY test and to keep working after turnover. We work to the same standards as Life Spot Electric: neat work, clear paperwork and one point of contact from design to sign-off.

Leadership

Arik Altheim
CEO

Arik started in the electrical industry in 2008, managing multimillion-dollar electrical projects for major New York City real estate developers. In 2017 he earned his New York City Master Electrician license and founded Life Spot Electric. Life Spot Fire & Security followed in 2020.

Sol Cohen
Director of Operations

Sol has more than ten years in fire alarm, security and low-voltage operations, starting with field operations on high-rise residential and commercial buildings in New York City. He runs day-to-day operations and coordinates with clients, contractors and vendors on every installation.
